Greetings Sisters and Brothers!

With Grand Chapter just completed and our new Grand Family, the Piecemakers, in place, we are ready to begin our year.  We are humbled and uplifted by the confidence placed in us to serve you as your Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron and look forward to sharing time with each of you during the coming year.

The Order of the Eastern Star, dedicated to Charity, Truth and Loving kindness, is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong.  The Eastern Star serves humanity in many ways by offering scholarships, donating funds to train service animals, collecting food for the needy, participating in fundraising for research to cure disease, providing financial support to a variety of charities, and sponsoring Masonic youth organizations.  Local chapters also support their local communities in a variety of ways.

Our aim this year is to reach outside of OES to our surrounding communities and their organizations.  One way to do this is with our special project "Quilts of Valor", where each chapter constructs a twin-size quilt, using resources inside and outside their chapter membership.  Click the link above for more information.

Please take a look at the calendar of activities and check the Forms and Flyers page for special events.  Sign up for the StarMatters newsletter to receive updates and member information throughout the year.  We look forward to seeing you on our travels!

With the COVID-19 Virus in our midst, we will not be seeing any of you in our travels in the immediate future, but we wish you all good health and good spirits in this pandemic times.

Remember to look for new opportunities to see good and do good, even at a social distance.

As Helen Keller is quoted as saying, "A bend in the Road, is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn".
